Abstract

A pulser ring for a magnetic rotary encoder, wherein a magnetized layer (12) formed of a material made by mixing a magnetic powder in a rubber-like elastic material or a synthetic resin material and magnetized, by multipolar magnetization, at specified pitches in the circumferential direction is integrally joined to an annular holder (11) fitted to a rotary body. A portion different from the other portions in cross section is formed, by a raised part (11c), at a part of the joining part (11a) of the holder (11) to the magnetized layer (12) in the circumferential direction. Since a singular point of signal level due to a difference in the size of a magnetic field is formed at that portion, the singular point is used as an original point for measuring a rotating angle.
